1951 - Graduated with honors in Social & Political Science at the University “Cesare Alfieri”, Florence

1951-52 - He was scholarship holder from French Government and studied at Institut des Hautes Etudes Internationales at Sorbonne University in Paris.

1953-1954 - Master in Business Administration at IPSOA, Turin, a branch of Harvard Business School.

1954-1968 - Director of Marketing and Corporate Development at RIV - SKF. The Chairman of this Company was Gianni Agnelli.

1968-1978 - Director of Cultural Relations at FIAT. Later Director of External Relations - Turin.

1974-1976 - Chief of Staff to the President of FIAT G. Agnelli; appointed President of Italian Manufacturer Association (Confindustria) - Turin.

1974-2006 - He promotes the restructuring of an old University in Rome now LUISS – Libera Università Studi Sociali Guido Carli that successfully developed as a Management university with the active participation of Confindustria.

1978-2004 - Member of Executive Committee and the Board of Directors of LUISS Guido Carli - Rome.

1978-2006 - Executive Vice-President of the Board of Trustees of LUISS Guido Carli - Rome.
