You are cordially invited to attend the ALMA 2009 Winter Meeting and Gala on Thursday, January 22nd, 2009 in New York City. The event, in its sixth year, will begin with an afternoon conference at the Italian Consulate and will conclude with a cocktails reception and Gala Dinner at the Penn Club.
Both the gala and the afternoon conference are held under the high patronage of the Italian Consulate in New York. Traditionally, this round of events is an important opportunity for the Italian and American legal and business communities to come together.
EVENING COCKTAILS AND GALA
The annual Reception and Gala Dinner will begin at 6.30pm at the Penn Club - 30 West 44th Street, New York, NY. The evening will start with an opening address by Francesco Talò, the Italian Consul General of New York. An address by a notable keynote speaker is also expected. Past keynote speakers include former U.S. Ambassador to Italy, Professor Richard N. Gardner; Undersecretary of U.S. Navy, Richard Greco; Founder of international corporation Logitech (NASDAQ: LOGI), Giacomo Marini.

AFTERNOON CONFERENCE
The afternoon conference "Retail Real Estate: a Comparative Legal View" will be held, in cooperation with the Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC) - Greater NY Chapter, at the Italian Consulate - 690 Park Avenue, New York, NY. The conference will provide a comparative overview of the retail real estate market and transactions in both the U.S. and in Italy. The conference is free of charge but priority will be given to confirmed Gala attendees. Similar to last year, approval has been sought in accordance with the requirements of the New York State Continuing Legal Education Board, for 1.5 general non-transitional CLE credit hours.
