The event, in its fifth year, has established itself as one of the most important opportunities for the Italian and American legal and business communities in the United States to come together.
Traditionally, the event is attended by prominent businessmen, Italian and U.S. international attorneys, current LL.M. students from the top U.S. law schools, as well as MBA students, the press and government authorities. An invitation is also extended to representatives of ALMA partners, including NIAF (The National Italian-American Foundation), NOVA-MBA (The Italian MBAs Association) and the American Chamber of Commerce in Italy.
The Conference, which will be held in the afternoon, is tentatively titled "Venture Capital in Italy: A New Legal Framework", and will provide an overview of the recent changes to Italian laws which may have a beneficial effect on the development of VC in Italy. The event will offer both a technical and practical viewpoint aimed at informing attorneys, businessmen and prospective foreign investors about simple changes that may boost the use of VC in Italy. The Reception and Gala dinner, which will be held in the evening at the Penn Club, provides an excellent opportunity for socializing and networking.
ALMA was formed in 2003 and has established itself as a bridge between the Italian and U.S. legal and business communities. Our association gathers U.S. attorneys with an international practice and Italian lawyers who have pursued an LL.M. degree from the top Law Schools in the United States.
If you have not done so already, and would like to participate in our initiatives, or learn more about them, sign up for ALMA membership at www.llm.it, or contact Alessandro Barzaghi (abarzaghi@llm.it), or Paolo Strino (pstrino@llm.it).
